The science:

• What is it? Tungsten carbide is a compound of equal parts tungsten and carbon
• Hardness: Comparable to corundum or sapphire
• Stiffness: About three times stiffer (lol) than steel
• Melting point: Decomposes at 2,600° C (4,700° F)
• Maintenance: Requires little to no upkeep
